Crazy, passoniate or just wishing

I am a teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada.  That being said our state is ranked very low on the national scale. I have worked my butt off trying new things, inspiring students and have even developed a mentor program.  So, I do not feel that the rank my state was given is an accurate representation of how well my students learn!  Also I feel that teaching the old school way is DEAD!  This is why I am working on my masters in technology and education.  As teachers I feel like we need to do anything we can to have help students reach their potential.  And one way I see that happening is through the integration of technology.  Kids know a lot about technology and can navigate the internet so why is my state continuing to teach the same old way.  It's not working.  One day I would like to see a regular classroom fully integrated with technology and centered around student learning.  Am I crazy, passionate or just wishing...
